This
beautiful green caterpillar wasfound eating the leaves on a Cassia on 10/18/2009.
Length was about 1" .
On 10/23
he began to wander in the container looking for a good spot to pupate.
He was now about 1 1/2" long.
By midnight, he was in the J position.

He pupa
was completed on 10/24.
Here are a series of pictures on his progression from 10/24 till 11/1.
On 11/02/09 he emerged.
This
one was really small.
This wingspan was only about 2 1/4".
I believe it is a male because of the faint markings on the undersides
of both wings.
Also, females have a row of black spots on the upperside edge of the forewing,
which this one does not.
