Common Name: Box Turtle
Scientific Name: Terrapene carolina

The Common Box Turtle can be found from southern Maine to the
Florida Keys. It prefers open woodlands. They are omnivorous
eating small animals as well as plant material.
This cute one was getting some shade under a
large banana tree.
